Black Lake Watershed Residents Survey: Your Input Needed
Good News! Tip of the Mitt Watershed Council has been awarded partial funding through the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy (EGLE) to develop a Watershed Management Plan (WMP) for the Black Lake Watershed. This two-year grant includes data collection, stakeholder engagement, and development of the plan with the end goal of approval by EGLE and the Environmental Protection Agency. The plan will be used to leverage funds to develop and implement future water resource protection projects.
The Council is currently working on collecting information from residents about nonpoint source pollution threats to the watershed. Examples include road/stream crossings, agriculture, forestry, streambanks, and stormwater. You can provide input by completing the survey at the following link:
